Tina Fey: My original deal was to create a show for NBC as a writer only, but when we came up with this idea, I figured, why not? Let's take a shot. Well, not at first. Before I said yes, I talked to Amy Poehler and asked her, "Am I getting too old for this? Do people want to see me anymore?" She helped me think like a male comedian. When Ray Romano and Jerry Seinfeld got their shows, I don't think they had a moment like, "Am I god enough to do this?" I need to stop worrying so much about what other people think.
